It’s finally that time of year. When you can reclaim your TV on Sundays and do more productive things with it. Like Binge watch House of Cards. Or if you’re a football lover, I guess it’s Super Bowl time.
Either way, this coming Sunday, it is imperative that you have an easy meal. Whether you’re having friends over, or especially so, if you plan to watch the game by yourself because you are aware you’re not a graceful loser. Or winner.
Treat yourself to this simple, somewhat healthy burger. 15 minutes from start to finish.
For the patties:
1 pound turkey meat
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper
1/2 Teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon red chilli flakes (optional)
For the Sriracha mayo
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sriracha
1 teaspoon honey
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and toast buns.
Mix all patties’ ingredients and shape into patties. Place on hot skillet with oil without touching. 4 minutes on each side turning once. When done, place pepper jack cheese slices and let melt.
Mix sauce ingredients in small container.
Assemble by putting sauce on top and bottom of buns to act as cement. Place patty on bun and top with vegetables.
Enjoy with nacho chips and your favorite beer.
